A trick of the eye

I woke up at 5am this morning and was about to drop off again when I saw a huge spider suspended above me. It had cruel legs, a swollen abdomen fat with silk or eggs, and was hovering over my nose. Naturally, I woke up entirely. Once my heart had stopped racing, I saw… nothing. No trace of a spider, dangling or otherwise. It was my tired brain making sense of a shadow or a far-away doorknob. But just for a moment, I’d seen something that wasn’t there and believed 100% that it was real.

The ideas factory

Where do I get my ideas? They typically strike at 2am. I’ll be lying peacefully in my four-poster bed as my pet Siberian tiger slumbers at my feet when a flash of creative inspiration will thunder across my brain.

An inspirational outlet

Obviously working at Tribe subjects me to all forms of creativity. If the very walls at Tribe could speak, they would no doubt tell you the principles of design and the fundamentals of colour harmonies. Don’t get me wrong, you get a fair amount of creative banter but the trouble is, sometimes when you leave in the evening you can’t help but still feel that inspirational charge – the need to carry that creativity forward in your spare time.
