The Tate Modern Project.

In contrast to the glass-panelled towers that typically adorn the riverbank, Tate Modern held the grand opening of its new twisted pyramid extension; The Switch House this month.

Designed by the original firm who first converted the Bankside power station; Herzog & de Meuron; The Switch House is a combination of previously inaccessible parts of the original site and a new build.

In-keeping with Tate Modern’s juxtaposing architectural style, I personally feel the extension is a fitting addition to the London landscape and I’m looking forward to visiting later this summer for the Georgia O’Keeffe retrospective.
