The brief

Revamp and rebrand translation specialists Living Word to appeal to creative agencies and market research companies.

The execution

We investigated the target audiences and developed a clean and confident brand identity for Living Word. Their logo is now headed up by a marque that’s interpreted in different ways – which is a beautiful metaphor for translation itself. Some see a shield, a symbol of strength and reliability. Some see two faces in profile talking, the perfect representation communication. Others see two apostrophes, graphic symbols of punctuation and language. To accompany the confident styling, we used a conversational tone of voice with the brand. Communication is also about creating a connection with whom you’re talking, as well as delivering information. That’s why we’ve used a tone that’s engaging and interesting to reinforce the brand values of approachability and individuality. The bold palette of yellow and dark grey is very distinct from the rest of the market. It’s a strong colour combination that they’ll be able to make their own, giving them clear differentiation.

The results

The new branding has been wonderfully received by Living Word, as well as helping to win a new contract to become the lead supplier to the FA. The brand is ready to be executed across many new materials, with the website the best example of its execution so far. See more online at www.livingword.co.uk
