Being asked to design a completely new brand and identity to launch a new business is the sort of challenge we relish here at Tribe. Add into the mix a client with creativity and craftsmanship and we were ready to create something really special.

We were approached by Wilson Scott to create a strong and engaging brand that would showcase a carpentry and joinery business with a real sense of style. Our approach was simple, clean and honest, allowing the beautiful and varied timber Wilson Scott carefully craft to really shine.

From bespoke logo design to a full suite of marketing stationary we created materials that truly showcased the expertise and considered approach Wilson Scott take to their own projects. Using a muted colour pallette and engaging images we produced an identity that doesn’t shout, but oozes a confidence and experience.

But we weren’t ready to stop there. We’ve just launched wilsonscott.co.uk a elegant and deceptively simple website that captures the true essence of the Wilson Scott Brand.

Smart. Straightforward. Honest.

All designed, created and built by our in house digital design team.

After reinventing their brand, the digital team here at Tribe have designed and launched a spectacular new website for quality translation specialists, Living Word.

Using innovative parallax technology, we’ve developed and built a stunning new site that delivers an engaging experience, one that represents their new brand identity.

The combination of the scrolling animation with the confident typographical style and lively colour gives this design real kudos in a market crowded by busy and unwieldy sites.

It truly sets Living Word apart from their competition for being bold, different and understanding what their customer really needs.

All designed, created and developed by our in house digital team.

We've spent the last few months storyboarding, designing, building, tweaking and tuning our first showreel, and we've delighted to finally set it free.

Grab a bag of popcorn and a drink, and take 90 seconds out of your day to take a look. We're not going to go into more details and tell you any more about it – we want you to discover it for yourself.

We'd love to know what you think about it. Give us a call or head over to our blog and let us know.

Over 500 miles of cycling in 30 degree heat. Thousand foot high climbs that challenge the fittest athletes on the planet. Don’t worry, that’s not what you have to do for this competition, but it is what our bike peddling, road cycling designer Paul will have to tackle when he begins the Tourmalet 500.

Renowned for being one of the toughest mountain stages on the Tour de France, the 7,000ft summit of the Col du Tourmalet will be the final stage of this phenomenal 500 mile bike challenge.

With the whole 20-man team kitted out in their Tribe designed jerseys, the epic ride starts this Sunday at St Malo. And just to keep Paul on his toes we’ll be tracking his progress live here (http://www.mapmytracks.com/tourmalet500) as he weaves his way through France. We'll tweet the link to each stage every morning too, so keep an eye on our Twitter feed by following @tribeuk (http://www.twitter.com/tribeuk).

So onto the competition, where you could win a £50 voucher for online bike store Wiggle.com to help get your own adventure started. Just comment on the Tourmalet 500 story on our blog with your guess for how fast you think Paul's maximum speed will be over the entire week. You can get to the story here (http://www.tribeuk.co.uk). Get your guesses in fast – by 5pm Friday 8 July.

We won’t keep you hanging on for the result – we’ll tweet Paul’s top speed so far at the end of each day and announce the winner on the blog the following week.

Paul is covering these 500 miles in the blistering French sunshine in an attempt to raise over £2500 for dementia charity Alzheimer's Society. If you'd like to support Paul in this mammoth challenge, dig deep and donate via JustGiving here (http://www.justgiving.co.uk/tourmalet500).

All that's left is to say good luck, or should we say, bon chance!

Internal communications strategy

Internal communications strategy

24-05-2011

We've just launched a new internal communications campaign for E.ON, challenging their employees to step up and take part in a group-wide Employee Opinion Survey. Every colleague has been encouraged to take part in the survey, sharing their thoughts and opinions about their role within E.ON.

We created a campaign using E.ON's illustrative communications platform to gain interaction with every single member of staff, from senior management to remote field workers. Using striking microphone imagery and the message "step up to the mic – now's the chance to have your say", it's a bold approach to get their staff talking. We've devised a full programme, from initial strategy to deliverables such as pin badges, management guides, posters, digital screen pops, interior graphics and car air-fresheners. The campaign will run two weeks prior and two weeks during the survey… we'll post a full portfolio piece and results of the campaign soon.

In just a few weeks our cycling fanatic Paul is to cycle the Tourmalet 500, a challenging ride through France finishing at the summit of the Pyrenees. Donning his Tribe designed jersey he'll cover 500 miles in the blistering French sunshine in an attempt to raise over £2500 for dementia charity Alzheimer's Society.

Starting at St Malo on the 3rd July, Paul will ride on to Biarritz to tackle the dreaded Col du Tourmalet with 19 other riders. The mighty 7,000ft mountain is home to the highest road in the Pyrenees, and is famous for being one of the toughest on the Tour de France.

Watch out for Paul cycling around the Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire countryside in preparation for the event, which will see him ride up to 90 miles a day. He's racking up over 2000 miles of riding to build the fitness he needs to complete the challenge.

If you'd like to support Paul in this mammoth challenge, dig deep and donate via justgiving.co.uk/tourmalet500. We'll be matching his donation total, so make the most of your support and get giving.

Bon chance Paul!

The Alzheimer's Society is the leading UK care and research charity for people with the disease and other dementias, their families and carers.
